Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have been a integral source of analysis for Spectrum Analysts over the past 10 years. In this time, Spectrum Analysts have put to use a number of GIS packages including Atlas GIS, Tactician, MapInfo and our current flagship, ESRI ArcView. |
 |
The data Spectrum Analysts use in these software packages are a combination of data from external sources as well as data Spectrum Analysts has produced through the process of digitising paper maps. In terms of external sources, data has been found for many countries across the globe, including countries where quality GIS data is difficult to come by. This is done through exhaustive searches from Australia along with the help of local knowledge in the form of agents in each region of the world. |
